When we dare to love another we dare to discover ourselves.
Nothing can strip us bare like the alchemy of love. When we open to another heart, another sensibility, another spiritual essence, we are like the mouth of a river infused with the waters of a contributing brook, never the same again, forever a living container for their energy. When we dare to love, we agree to mastering our fears. We dare to become raw and vulnerable, to wander the caves of our personality and emotions. To love is to know that nothing is guaranteed, and to step into trust.
We are like archeologists when we say yes to love. We find treasures long-buried within labyrinths of the soul.
