Plus… what has Black Moon Lilith got to do with the full moon?

“You can cut all the flowers, but you cannot keep Spring from coming.” ~ Pablo Neruda

The Pagan festival of Imbolc (February 1 and 2) is the second of the Great Sabbaths in a witch’s year and concludes the “dead time”—the season between October 31 and February 1.

“Dead time” sounds ominous, but, really, it is resting time—when one wouldn’t normally perform a whole lot of magic but enjoy the darkest of months for introspection and contemplation.

As the astrological year draws to a close, Full Moon becomes the tension between the closing of one energy and the beginning of a new one. Full moon energy can be overwhelming and with practice, we can learn to channel this energy towards positive aspects.

This is Wolf Moon… it asks the same question as the upcoming Imbolc, on Feb 1 and 2. What kind of hunger is gnawing at your bones? Honest introspection is crucial right now.

Listen to soul desires and act on them. Mars conjunct Black Moon Lilith is an interesting energy that influences our desires and fertility, as well as the relationship between the divine masculine and feminine.

Lilith likes it on top, spurred by the intensity of Mars, she reaches into our shadows. Questions of sovereignty, self-sufficiency and equity may surprise you. All shall be well as long as answers contain honesty.

Blessed Be,

Monika.
