Before I was published at Hay House, I was a self- Before I was published at Hay House, I was a self-published author.

In fact, it was my self-published book that was picked up by them.

Before my Transforming the Mother Wound book, I wrote a saucy Pagan Romantasy, that an editor told me not to publish because it would chase trad publishers away… which was rubbish advice that I did not adhere to.

We write and self-publish because we have something of value to say that is meaningful to us and to the world.

We write for our own satisfaction and for honoring the creativity coursing through our bones.

Self-publishing means that you are validating your own work, willing to be seen and heard in your authentic expression. It is as important as anything put out by a publishing house.

It’s no longer a dirty word, a sign of a failed writer – erase that trope from your consciousness!

In fact, publishing houses are scouring social media for writers and self-published authors.

There is a way to create your book to a professional standard, and to keep your creative vision intact, where your voice is never muted.

I've been honored to read wildly interesting manuscripts produced by my clients, who have made their publishing dream come true by believing in their work.

Opposing the Sun in Libra, September's Full Moon i Opposing the Sun in Libra, September's Full Moon in Aries is a blance of honoring personal needs with the commitments we have within relationships. By commitment I mean what we willingly wish to offer to the relationship, as well as considering the needs of our partner or family, or friend.

It goes without saying that all things being equal in a relationship, things are not always equal, haha! There is a give and take tension that at times feels unfair. I think that we all know that feeling, but being present to oneself, taking space, asking for what we need is key, while considering another. And there are times when we cannot consider another. That's where honest conversation becomes the alchemist.

Recently, after a cuffufle between my partner and I, we arrived at a conversation that has resulted in a SEISMIC shift in our lives. The argument revealed our needs with great clarity. This occurred after the latest eclipse. And now, at Full Moon, we are experiencing this shift glad that we had the courage to face our angry words.

(No, not getting a divorce) 🖤

Merry Moon, Witches! What is rising with the Full Moon for you?

Sending love. 🌕

Merry Equinox Witches!
The last eclipse opened up something powerful for The last eclipse opened up something powerful for many of my readers, clients and friends. For some, seismic shifts. For others, a gentler path towards the next portal... Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.

I like to celebrate all convergences on the Wheel of the Year as mini seasons, to open to it for one day seems too fleeting.

Our cells respond to gradual shifts in the Sun's journey across the sky until we come to the height of it, and then the descent.

And descend we will. Onwards now to the darkest of days. There is a thrill to this season that massages all our dreams, wounds and introspections. This simple ritual and incantation open the door to whatever may be.

Blessings!

There's a lot happening in my life right now, and There's a lot happening in my life right now, and to be honest none of it is easy, but walking the Wise Woman path keeps me grounded and returning to center.

On the old pastoral calendar, Autumn Equinox is mid-autumn.
Days shorten. Shadows lengthen.
The Spirits stir.

Why does this season feel so energetically charged Why does this season feel so energetically charged? Exhilarating, somewhat tinged with danger, pulling us deep into the psyche of the Underworld – the Dark Moon Season of the Year is a catalyst for rebirth. We descend, descend, descend! With Hekate, with Persephone, with ancestors, the Dark Mother, with all our soul’s longing to taste what matters and discarding the detritus.

This three-month journey may be the most impactful of the whole wheel of the year. I like to create small rituals for slow living during the Dark Moon Season.

1. Slowing down activity – less multi-tasking, more presence to each activity.

2. Cultivating slowness through singing, reading, writing, working crafts, naps.

3. Taking time for prayer, co-creating dreams with the Universe, freeing the imagination

4. Slow meals, conscious eating, slow chewing, blessing food, conversation at the table

5. Presence to thoughts, noticing the slowness, deep listening to messages from the Underworld.

6. Relishing, long, quiet evenings
